A large insurance company conducted periodic Employee Experience surveys with thousands of employees. The raw data came from a survey platform. From there, the team had to process that information, cross-reference it with different organizational parameters, and generate presentations in PPTX and PDF format for different levels of the company.
The process was manual, repetitive, and prone to errors. Each reporting cycle consumed days of work. The final version arrived late and with a margin of error that no one wanted to assume.
The Challenge
The People team needed a system that automated report generation from start to finish. The solution had to respect a complex business logic: different types of reports, different organizational parameters, and different output formats depending on the recipient.
Precision was non-negotiable. The PDF reports were sent directly to print, with bleeds, crop marks, and color profiles included. Any error in generation had real consequences.
The Solution
We designed and developed an internal web application that connects directly to the data source via GraphQL, applies the business rules for each type of report, and generates the output files automatically.
The interface is deliberately simple. The team selects the type of report, the organizational parameter, and the year. The application does the rest and delivers the document in seconds, ready to distribute or send to print.
The output files cover two formats: PPTX presentations for internal use and PDFs with all the technical printing specifications included, with crop marks, color profiles, and bleeds.
We use artificial intelligence to achieve a test coverage of 95%. This ensures that each system update does not introduce errors in the report logic and that the team can iterate with confidence.
The Result
The report generation cycle went from days to seconds.
The People team stopped spending time preparing files and started spending it reading the results and making decisions. The tool eliminated the manual margin of error and turned a fragile process into a robust, repeatable, and scalable one.
